Jio, Airtel and Vodafone ideas under pressure
According to a report by ET Telecom, Starlink is offering a subscription plan at a subsidized rate in India. Sanjay Varghese, India head of Starlink, told ET Telecom that the price of their service was quite high and if the service was launched in India at that price, it would be beyond the reach of most people in the country. He added that Starlink should bring services to India that would be ahead of all others in terms of price. Initially, the company wanted to focus on areas of the country where access to the Internet was difficult. The company is about to usher in a new era in the Internet world of India through cheap prices and good internet services.
Available in speeds up to 150Mbps
Starlink started booking in India earlier this year. At that time Indian users had to deposit Rs 7,500. The company will offer a dish satellite, a receiver and some other items in the package. Initially, users will get speeds from 100 to 150Mbps.
The company's current target is to deploy 30,000 Starlink satellites in orbit and expand its user pool to millions of customers. A few days ago, Starlink sent 100,000 terminals to customers. The purpose of this project is to provide global broadband connectivity using satellites. According to reports, Starlink is about to launch its telecommunication services in India.
